Strawberries

We had some strawberries when we got home from Charelston Sunday night. Grady loved them!
Easy car ride?
I wouldn't have believed it but we pulled it off for the first time Yesterday. On our return trip from Charelston, Grady slept for 2 hours, maybe three. Then he let me entertain him the rest of the way without demanding and pleading to be let out of his seat! We examined the nature of corn chips, how they snap and crunch and how fast a dog will eat them. We played some peek-a-boo and looked out the windows. Amen

A Blade of Grass

Boy-oh-boy do I have a story for you. About two minutes after I took this first picture here, Grady started coughing, swallowing and gagging. It was scary, he gasped for breath and started sneezing. I swept his mouth and listened to make sure he could breathe. His nose started running and he sneezed quite a bit more, than more gagging. And then... a blade of grass was sticking out of his nose! I pulled it the rest of the way out. Uck!

He hasn't had a chance to just sit in the grass in about four days. It seemed then that he had accidently swallowed something, probably grass we figured. We had picked him up and check his mouth and his swallowing stopped after a minute or so. We had no idea the offensive blade of grass had been residing in his sinuses for these past few days! Poor baby. It might explain his fussiness last night that wasn't really helped by teething tablets.

Cruising

Grady has begun to let go of things while he is standing up and he must be growing these days because he is suddenly sleeping alot and very deeply. It is so exciting. Peek-a-boo is still a favorite game but I am feeling the need to take it up a notch and learn some new interactive games and I feel like the toys are starting to get boring. I'm thinking I might sell some in a consignment sale and turn around and pick up some new ones at the same time.

And as always, thanks for clicking on the ads and checking them out, it always helps me justify the time I spend on this.

Cruising

In other news, GMan has been sick in his tummy but he is getting better. Then we had some rough nights of teething and the poor little guy wanted to be held all-night-long. That was rough! Last night went better, and my little genius is still sleeping at 10am.

In the meantime his mommy is very sad about the events in Blacksburg.

Pullen Park

Now see I would have the perfect shot of GMan laughing in the swing but he looked down and the batteries went belly up. The swing shot seems to be my biggest challenge.
This pavilion picture is a shot of the local Attachment Parenting Groups picninc at Pullen Park. We met another family there that love the Hurricanes (even though they didn't make the playoffs).

GManand his daddy got to ride the Merri-Go-Round together, yea!

Laughter

Oh my goodness, GMan was just laughing in his sleep. Nothing is cooler than that!

Cousins, really

GMan had lots of visitors these last two weekends. His Seebohm cousins came to town.
After visiting the coast they stopped in for some Eukre (I know I must have spelt that very wrong!),baby time, cookies and conversation. Here are Aunt Angie and Uncle Eric ->

And here are Christopher, Timothy and Judy
